DAY 1: WARSAW
Arrival in Warsaw, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and
overnight in Warsaw.
DAY 2: WARSAW
Full day city tour of Warsaw.
DAY 3: WARSAW -NIEPOKALANOW-CZESTOCHOWA
Departure to Niepokalanow-Franciscan Priory founded
in 1927 by St.Maksymilian Maria Kolbe, the martyr of
Auschwitz. Departure to Czestochowa -Poland’s spiritual
capital.
Holly Mass on Jasna Gora Hill. Dinner and overnight
in Czestochowa.
DAY 4: CZESTOCHOWA
Holy Mass in Black Madonna Chapel on Jasna Gora Hill.
Guided tour of the Pauline Monstery and Treasury. Afternoon
at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Czestochowa.
DAY 5: CRACOW
Morning departure to Cracow. Visit to the Wawel Cathedral
and St. Mary’s Church in the Market Square. Afternoon
visit of historical industrial district of Nowa Huta,
where you will see the building of Solvay chemical factory
where Karol Wojtyla used to work during nazi occupation
to earn his living and to avoid being deported to Germany.
The next stop will be at the Archbishop's Palace that
was his home for a number of years. You will see there
his monument situated in the courtyard, as well as "the
most famous window in the world" from which he
always greeted the people coming to see him here during
his papal visits. The Holy Mass. Dinner and overnight
in Cracow.
DAY 6: CRACOW-AUSCHWITZ-WADOWICE
- KALWARIA ZEBRZYDOWSKA-CRACOW
Departure to Auschwitz, guided visit to the former Nazi
concentration camp now the Museum of Martyrdom. Departure
to Wadowice, birthplace of the Pope John Paul II. In
the afternoon visit to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska 17th–century
monastery containing the miraculous painting of the
Virgin Mary and Child-the second largest shrine in Poland,
after Czestochowa. Return to Cracow. Dinner and overnight
in Cracow.
DAY 7: CRACOW-LAGIEWNIKI- CRACOW
Morning visit to Lagiewniki Sanctuary, a place associated
with Blessed Sister Faustyna Kowalska. Return to Cracow.
Visit to the impressive salt mines in Wieliczka. Holy
Mass. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.
DAY 8: DEPARTURE
Transfer to Cracow airport and return flight to the
home-country. |
