DAY 1: WARSAW
Arrival in Warsaw, transfer to the hotel. HD
city tour including the Old Town (the Royal Castle,
St. John’s Cathedral), the Royal Route, the Łazienki
Park, the Wilanów Palace. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
DAY 2: WARSAW-LOMZA-BIALOWIEZA-BIALYSTOK
Departure to Białowieża National Park, the
biggest forest complex and the biggest reserve of aurochs
in Europe. En route short visit to the Ethnographic
Museum in Lomża with the amber section. Arrival in Białowieża.
Drive to Białystok, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: BIALOWIEZA
FD visit to the National Park in Bialowieża, the oldest
primeval forest in Europe and a strict reserve that
can only be entered with a guide. Absolutely worth
seeing because of the unique possibility to see a
bison in its natural environment! Bialowieza forest
is listed on UNESCO’s List of World Biosphere Reserves
and World Cultural Heritage.
DAY 4: BIALYSTOK-SUPRASL-KRYSZNIAN-SOKOLKA-TYKOCIN-BIEBRZA-AUGUSTOW
Excursion to: Supra¶l, Krysznian and Sokółka - two
former Tatar’s villages, Tykocin – synagogue. Lunch
in Kiermusy, a recreated manor house with other traditional
buildings. In the afternoon visit to the Biebrza National
Park (beavers‘ nests) called a Polish Amazon, with
rich aquatic and meadow wildlife and numerous species
of mud and water birds. Optional ridings on traditional,
flat-bottom "push-boats" on overflow-arms
of Biebrza River. Dinner and overnight in Augustów.
DAY 5: AUGUSTOW-SUWALKI
Departure to Suwałki via Augostowska Forest and Wigry
National Park to see its exceptional fauna and flora.
The main attraction of this region is Augustowski
Canal– a remarkable achievement of 19th century engineering,
80 kilometers long, that can be best explored from
the deck of the ship – this would be also a beautiful
journey through Augustow Forest, called the green
lungs of Poland. Dinner and overnight in Suwałki.
DAY 6: MASURIAN LAKES DISTRICT
Departure to the Masurian Lakes, short visit to the
open-air Ethnographic Museum of Kurpie region in Nowogród,
Kadzidlo and Myszyniec-nobility palaces. Dinner and
overnight.
DAY 7: MASURIAN LAKES
Mazury, thousand-lake region, famous for its beautiful
lakes and forests, full of wild animals, an ideal
place for active vacation: swimming, sailing, horse-riding,
fishing etc. Today program includes wandering along
the shore of Nidzkie or Jezioral Lake. In the afternoon
excursion to Olsztyn, the region’s main city; than
continue to Gierłoż - the former Hitler quarter, Mikolajki-short
ship excursion. Dinner and overnight in Olsztyn.
DAY 8: MASURIAN LAKES
Full day excursion through Masurian cities: Dobre
Miasto, Orneta, Lidzbark Warmiński. In the afternoon
return to Warsaw, dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
DAY 9: DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport for the return flight home.
