Wolin
Island is situated in the Baltic Sea, just across
the German-Polish border. This is the largest island
lying entirely within the Polish boundaries.Most of
the island is covered by the National Park with rare
plants and a small bison reserve. The Island is famous
for its thick forests, wetlands and lakes.The breathtaking
beauty of the place is completed by nearly 100 m high
amazing sandy cliff.
A thousand years ago Wolin Island used to be a very
important place for the Vikings. Today you can still
find some of their remains in the Wolin city museum.
On the outskirts of the Woliński National Park is
located a very popular sea-side resort Międzyzdroje,
full of life and cultural events.
In Kołczewo on the Wolin Island you can play golf
