DAY 1: WARSAW
Arrival in Warsaw, hotel accommodation. Dinner
in one of the traditional Old Town’s restaurant accompanied
by a folklore performance.
DAY 2: WARSAW - PUŁTUSK
Morning tour of Warsaw’s historical center, including
visit of the Royal Castle which houses a famous collection
of Canaletto paintings. Lunch in a restaurant. In
the afternoon excursion to Nieborów Palace, a gorgious
17th century noble residence designed by famous dutch
architect - Tylman von Gameren. Medieval dinner and
overnight in the Pułtusk Castle, the 14th century
residence castle of the Plock bishops.
DAY 3: PUŁTUSK - MALBORK
After breakfast departure for Lidzbark Warmiński,
which since 1350 had been the residence of Warmian
bishops. Between 1503 and 1510 lived here nad worked
Nicolas Copernicus. Continue to Frombork, where the
famous astronomer gave to the world his greatest work
- De Revolutionibus and where he died on 24th April
of 1453. The visit including the 14th century castle
and cathedral. Continue to Malbork via Kadyny, famous
for its ceramics manufacture, original stables, 1000
year old alder and the 17th century palace - A former
summer residence of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany.
Dinner and overnight in Malbork.
DAY 4: MALBORK - BISKUPIN - KORNIK - RYDZYNA
Morning visit of the Teutonic Castle. Departure for
Biskupin, where in 1933 there was discovered the fortified
settlement of an Iron Age tribe from 750-400 BC. Lunch
in Biskupin. Continue to Kórnik, visit to the neo-Gothic
style castle surrounded by a beautiful park, now a
museum housing collections of antique furniture, armoury,
Polish and foreign paintings and artistic handcraft.
Overnight in Rydzyna Castle which was a long-time
residence of the Polish King Stanislaw Leszczynski
and the Sulkowski Princes. The beautifully restored
castle halls are often used for state functions. The
castle is surrounded by a large park.
DAY 5: RYDZYNA - CZĘSTOCHOWA
En route visit to the Renaissance castle of Gołuchów
which houses an impressive collection of the Italian,
Spanish and Portuguese masters. Arrival in Częstochowa,
visit of the Sanctuary of Jasna Góra, dinner and overnight
in a hotel.
DAY 6: CZĘSTOCHOWA - CRACOW
On the way to Cracow trip along the Route of Eagles'
Nests, where among the beautiful green rolling heels
of the Ojcowski National Park you will discover picturesque
ruins of numerous medieval castles. You will visit
the Pieskowa Skala Castle which, perfectly preserved,
is a fine example of the Renaissance military architecture.
Lunch in the Castle’s restaurant, overnight in Cracow.
DAY 7: CRACOW
Panoramic tour of Cracow including the Cracow’s Old
Town and the Wawel Castle. In the evening a “medieval”
dinner in the Niepołomice Castle accompanied by a
folklore performance. Overnight in a hotel.
DAY 8: CRACOW - WI¦NICZ - ŁAŃCUT - BARANÓW
Morning departure for Łańcut. En route visit to Wi¶nicz,
a suggestive fortress of the 1538, the former residence
of the noble family Lubomirski. Visit of Lancut Castle,
built by Stanislaw Lubomirski in the 17th century
and later remodeled by the Potocki family - one of
the best known edifices in Poland. Its interiors intertwine
Baroque, Neo - Classicist and Romantic periods. A
well - known museum of antique horse carriages is
located on the premises. An evening arrival to the
Baranów Palace, pearl of Polish Renaissance architecture.
Dinner with music and overnight in the palace.
DAY 9: BARANÓW - KRZYŻTOPÓR - WARSAW
After morning visit of the Baranów Palace departure
in the direction of Warsaw. En route visit of the
Krzyżtopór Castle, one of the most beautiful and mighty
17th century polish residences. The castle was raised
in the years 1626-1644 for Sandomierz Voivode Krzysztof
Ossoliński according to a design by Wawrzyniec Senes.
The residence had a form of a castle placed inside
a pentagon fortress with bastions; outside the ramparts
there was a garden. Krzyżtopór castle conjoins the
elements of Mannerist style with those of early Baroque
and local styles. Lunch en route. Arrival in Warsaw
in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
DAY 10: WARSAW
In the morning visit of the Wilanów Palace. Lunch
in a restaurant. Free time. A farewell dinner in the
elegant and historic interiors of the Belvedere Restaurant,
situated within the classicist Łazienki Park area.
DAY 11: RETURN FLIGHT
